Leeds United are Premier League-bound at last.

It's been 16 years since the Whites last played among the very elite in this country but they are back in the big time.

Marcelo Bielsa has guided this Leeds side expertly, taking them from a side languishing in the Championship's mid-table to one now in the top-tier of English football.

Bielsa's methods have been remarkable in all senses of the word but they've paid off.

Whether it be Spy-gate or getting his coaches to study every set piece in the top five leagues, the Argentine has been meticulous.

However, he is not the person solely in charge of transfers. The man that is, is Spaniard Victor Orta.

He has identified a number of targets from Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins to James McCarthy

Another Premier League player is now on their radar with Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi an option.

Football Insider suggest Leeds have set their sights on a cut-price move, one that could still potentially be record-breaking for the club.

It's thought the Blues could sell for around £25m, a fee that would represent a bigger outlay than what the Yorkshire side paid for Rio Ferdinand.

The Whites are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old's situation who has a year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi has spent regular periods out on loan but it's thought Chelsea now prefer a permanent transfer away for the Belgium international.

Batshuayi

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

The idea of signing a player like Batshuayi is particularly eye-catching.

He has a strike rate of a goal every 93 minutes, which for a player who rarely starts, is mightily impressive. Just think what he could do if he attained regular minutes.

The Belgian netted eight times last term and has become somewhat of a super-sub throughout his career to date.

Leeds could offer a home of regular starts for Batshuayi who will now find himself behind Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner at Chelsea.

It's sometimes difficult to remember just how good a player he is - being dubbed a player of "genuine quality" by former forward John Hartson.

Though, it's his Drogba-like qualities that should have excitement growing at Elland Road.

A feature from Four Four Two detailed the following: "At 5ft 11in, Batshuayi doesn't have the same imposing frame of Didier Drogba, but there are certainly comparisons to be made between the two."

They then cited the striker's ability to ghost in behind the defenders and use his upper-body strength to bully his marker.

Patrick Bamford is a hard worker but he never really outmuscles the centre-back, something they'd make up for if Batshuayi joins.
