The bromance between Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford is likely to end this summer.Lingard might be five years older than Rashford but the pair both joined United as seven-year-olds and have gone on to play hundreds of matches each for their boyhood club. But it seems inevitable that 27-year-old Lingard will move on this summer. He only made 22 Premier League appearances this season, the fewest he’s made in United's first-team since the 2014/15 campaign, which he largely spent at Derby County. If he does leave, Rashford will no doubt mourn the loss of his best friend.p1eet8umta1n0s1bo2lpq1hn51b3of.jpgThe pair are always seen together and even went on holiday together last summer - although they got in trouble for their actions as Lingard posted a controversial Snapchat as he did a tour of their apartment in Miami. At the time, Rashford - who featured in the video - defended his teammates by saying: "I've not spoken to the manager about it but from what I've seen of it, people have to understand that he was enjoying his holiday and it was a mistake so there is not really much I can say about that."But Rashford and Lingard don’t always see eye-to-eye and one brilliant Twitter thread proves that.@_elizaabethh14’s thread titled: ‘Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard arguing over pointless things’ has got viral with more than 4k retweets and more than 21k ‘likes.’And the thread does exactly what it says on the tin. She’s right, it’s also ‘very long’ with 17 videos in total.

Lingard will be given an opportunity to show Ole Gunnar Solskjaer what he can do when United continue their Europa League campaign later this week.

United lead Austrian side LASK 5-0 in their last-16 clash from the first leg and Lingard is motivated to prove his worth.

“Every game, every minute I play, I have got to try and impress and do as much as I can to help the team and impress the manager,” Lingard said in his pre-match press conference.

“It is the perfect way now to get a run in the tournament. I've not had the best of seasons and after lockdown I wanted to impress the manager.

“I’ve always scored goals from Under-18s to reserves, It’s about setting goals for me throughout the season. Each game is different and it’s about setting targets on a personal level in a game - how many shots you have, how many chances you can create."
