Leeds United have a busy summer in store.

After securing promotion from the Championship they have the huge task of getting themselves ready for life in the top flight.

Marcelo Bielsa's side completely dominated the second tier last term after winning the league with a 10-point buffer on second place West Brom.

But while his style of play was a game-changer in the Championship, things will be a bit different in the top flight.

A lot has changed in the 16 years since Leeds were relegated and that means that the Yorkshire side will have a lot of work to do if they're to consolidate their place among the big boys next term.

If they're to do it then they'll likely need to add some top flight experience to the squad to help them acclimatise.

Danny Rose is one player who has been linked with a move.

The former Leeds youngster is likely to be available after falling out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur, meaning that a reunion with his former club could be on the cards.

But while the pursuit of Rose is yet to be confirmed, former midfielder Michael Brown believes that the full-back could be a shrewd addition for Bielsa's side.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown said: "It has every chance, it’ll just come down to the finances involved and whether that deal can be done. That would be a good signing for sure.

“They need some experience, but we’ve all seen Sheffield United go up and do well.

"I think under Bielsa they could kick on but they need a little bit of help in certain areas and you would say in that full-back position is something they’ll be looking at.

“They’ve got creativity for sure, wide areas and the top of the pitch will also be areas they will be looking at.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This would be an outstanding move for Leeds United.

Danny Rose is still a top player at Premier League level - something that he showed during his loan spell with Newcastle United.

While his future looks unlikely to be with Spurs, he still has a lot to offer in the top flight.

So where better for him to go than his boyhood club?

Leeds need some Premier League experience in their squad, and with a left back near the top of their summer shopping list then this could be an ideal switch.

Whether the former England man will be seen as an ideal fit by Marcelo Bielsa remains to be seen, but based on their style of play and his attacking instincts I could certainly see Rose playing a big role for the Whites this term.
