Portsmouth defender Ricardo Rocha will miss the rest of the season through suspension.

The Portuguese centre-back is banned for the remaining four games after his sending-off during the 3-0 defeat against Cardiff on Saturday, his second red card of the campaign.

Rocha was given his marching orders for clashing with City striker Jay Bothroyd, who went unpunished. Boss Steve Cotterill said: "I'm disappointed with the decision."

He added: "Ricardo's got a bad gash down the side of his eye.

"Ricardo said he didn't head-butt Bothroyd, and I've told him if he's lying, he'll be fined heavily."
