West Ham endured a rather torrid season in 2019/20.
Whether it was finding themselves in a relegation battle or spending poorly on new recruits, it really didn't go well.
That's without mentioning the sacking of Manuel Pellegrini and the hiring of David Moyes too.
Protests rumbled on against the ownership of David Gold and David Sullivan, but alongside Karren Brady, remain in charge of overseeing proceedings at the London Stadium.
They will have to get their recruitment spot on this summer. It's not about spending vast sums, but instead, it's about spending wisely, identifying a select crop of players who could improve this Irons team.
Jarrod Bowen was a good start in January but they will need more if they are to reach their potential, one that should have a large ceiling.
With Jeremy Ngakia departing, though, they will need a new right-back.
Fortunately, that looks as though it could happen.
Tottenham's Kyle Walker-Peters has been linked with a move to West Ham (via the print version of the Mirror) but now he's actually been tipped to sign.
That's according to former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson who exclusively revealed the following to Football Insider:
"I think Kyle Walker-Peters is a top player. A move to West Ham could really work for all parties involved. Can I see it? Yes."
The 23-year-old's most recent spell was on loan at Southampton and if West Ham don't pounce soon, he could return to the South Coast in a deal worth £12m.

Walker-Peters was given a baptism of fire for Spurs when he was introduced into the first-team fray against Barcelona.
However, he has appeared just 24 times for the senior side and as a result of his lack of opportunities, could be out the door.
His game time improved on loan at the Saints where he finally got a regular chance to prove what he was capable of.
His reading of the game was impressive, completing 1.4 interceptions per game, but he is still very raw and needs to be nurtured.
At West Ham he'd receive plenty of opportunities and given they currently have no first-team right-back, he should fit seamlessly into the system.
A right-hand side of Walker-Peters and Bowen is an exciting one and should more than make up for the departure of Ngakia.
Described as a "cracking young player" by former footballer Noel Whelan, there is little risk to this deal. It just depends whether they can secure him for the £12m required or not.
