Arsenal's pursuit of Papiss Dembe Cisse will be successful, if they can stump up the £13 million being demanded by his club Freiburg, report talkSPORT.

The 25-year-old has scored 20 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearance this season, a showing that has attracted attention across Europe for his signature.

But the German club have told the Gunners they will not sell the forward for anything less than £13 million.

With Arsenal safe financially there is no doubt the club could afford Cisse, but Arsene Wenger's willingness to part with his money has on occasion frustrated fans and led to the club missing out on some big name signings.

As well as Cisse, Arsenal have been linked with Gary Cahill, among others, evidence that the north-London club are prepared to splash the cash this summer.

One attraction for potential signing at the Emirates Stadium is Arsenal's ability to boast Champions League football and a genuine title challenge domestically.
