Manchester United advanced to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after beating Austrian side LASK 2-1 on Wednesday. The Red Devils had to come from behind following Philipp Wiesinger’s fantastic strike in the 55th minute.Jesse Lingard quickly levelled the scores and Anthony Martial netted his 23rd goal of the season late on to secure a 7-1 aggregate win.Entering the game with a 5-0 lead from the first leg, it was an opportunity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to play some of those who haven’t seen many minutes this season.Lingard, Juan Mata and Daniel James all started the match, while 18-year-old defender Teden Mengi came on to make his debut with a few minutes remaining.

But the biggest experiment of all came with the introduction of 20-year-old Tahith Chong - traditionally a right-winger - at left-back.

Chong replaced Brandon Williams in the 72nd minute and proceeded to play the rest of the game in an unfamiliar full-back role.

And he didn’t disappoint, pushing to get forward at every opportunity and showing off some nice touches.

Perhaps there’s a future for the young Dutchman at full-back.

Chong’s individual highlights have now emerged.

According to the Daily Mail, Chong is frustrated at a lack of opportunities in the first team and could be loaned out, with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen keen to sign the Holland U21 international.
