This is the summer where Jose Mourinho needs to make his mark in north London.
With Tottenham Hotspur coming off the back of a disappointing campaign, efforts must be doubled to ensure that they don't slip up again.
Mourinho inherited a Spurs squad that was bereft of quality and direction, and to be fair to him he did manage to spark them into some form of improvement.
But going into the new season it's his job to get the team whipped into shape.
If that's going to happen it's likely that he'll need a few summer additions to get his squad ready for a long season ahead.
Europa League qualification was good for saving face, but it does mean that the club will face a hugely congested fixture list.
That means that the squad has to be ready with strength and depth.
While players such as Habib Diallo have been linked with a move it seems that Tottenham have made a decision over one long-running target.
Reports from The Sun have suggested that Spurs have ended their interest in Ryan Fraser.
The Scottish winger is currently a free agent after leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old was heavily linked with both Tottenham and Arsenal following his decision to reject a contract with the Cherries in order to line up a big switch to North London.
However after hardly featuring this term, it's a gamble that seems to have backfired for the player.
All is not lost, though, with Crystal Palace among the teams still thought to be chasing the winger ahead of a summer move.

It's probably good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans that this move seems to have gone cold.
While Ryan Fraser enjoyed an impressive campaign in 2018-19 where he racked up 14 assists, he's failed to recreate that since.
The winger took a risky approach as he tried to force through a move to one of the Premier League's bigger clubs - a move that has definitely backfired.
As well as not getting that move, it seems that the 26-year-old's reputation has taken something of a hit, with few thinking of him as being worthy of a big-money deal.
Fraser has plenty to prove and it'll be on him to prove that he deserves to be linked with a top six club.
I'm sure that he'll get a move to another Premier League club this summer, but unfortunately for him it seems that it won't be the move that he ideally wanted.
