Celtic have been interested in the forward for a while now, and it was initially thought the deal was off.
However, latest reports from Sky Sports seem to suggest that it's back on.
They claim Celtic are now closing in on a deal to loan the Switzerland international for the 2020/21 season.
Lennon held talks with the player's agent on Thursday night but Ajeti wanted more time to consider his options.
However, the intervention from the Celtic boss has convinced the attacker to join the Bhoys.
It's thought a deal could be announced in the coming days.

Before moving to West Ham, Ajeti was an incredibly promising young talent.
The 23-year-old bagged 21 goals and registered 11 assists in 43 matches for Basel during the 2018/19 campaign, but he was one of the biggest flops in the English Premier League last season.
Ajeti rarely featured and went through the entire campaign goalless for the Irons.
Based on that, it would be a risk to sign someone as inconsistent as Ajeti.
What's crucial to remember, though, is that class is permanent - so they say anyway.
Described as an "aggressive" player when he first joined the Hammers, it's clear that there is a good player in there.
Perhaps Scotland would be a happy hunting ground for him? After all, the level of football is a step below England's top-flight.
Providing Edouard stays, he'd be a smart acquisition and good back-up. Though, if he departs, Ajeti is surely not good enough to be their main man in attack.
