Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an excellent end to the season, though that came as something of a surprise.
After sacking Mauricio Pochettino in November, with the club in the bottom half of the Premier League table, it appeared as though European qualification was nothing more than a distant memory.
However, their appointment of Jose Mourinho saw the club hit some form throughout the final few games of the campaign.
They didn’t lose any of their last six games, and their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on the final day ensured qualification for the Europa League.
Spurs completed the season with 59 points, seven points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
They also managed to finish above Sheffield United, Arsenal, and Wolves, and are now looking to the summer transfer window as they prepare for Mourinho’s first full season in charge.
Exits, of course, are just as much a part of such windows as arrivals and it appears that one such departure could come in the form of Ryan Sessegnon.
Signed from Fulham last summer, he struggled to make a real impact in his first season at the club, making just six Premier League appearances.
And The Daily Telegraph now reports that Ajax are interested in taking the 20-year-old on loan in the coming months.
Mourinho, though, is said to be weighing his options and has yet to decide whether to allow Sessegnon the chance to fight for a spot in the team or be allowed to leave.
The deal will not be a permanent one, of course, and could see the versatile left winger, who can also play at left-back, gain some regular football.

This is a win-win.
Spurs don’t really have much need for Sessegnon in their squad, as evidenced by his lack of minutes in 2019/20.
Thus, letting him move to Ajax, even if it is just for a season, would expose him to a competitive environment at a top club and allow him the opportunity to sharpen his attributes in the Netherlands.
Ajax, of course, are well-known for developing excellent young talent and giving the England U21 international the chance to do that in Amsterdam could work out well for Spurs.
It would see him improve as a player and then be ready to play a role when he does return at the end of the season.
That would then allow Spurs to either sell him at a significantly higher price than they would receive this summer, or integrate him into their squad.
They should let him move.
