Leeds United face a wait over the summer.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side enjoyed an incredible 2019/20 season, making the leap to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years.
They are now a top-flight club once again, having been in genuinely brilliant form throughout the campaign.
Leeds lost just nine games all season, racking up 93 points, and enjoyed an eight-game unbeaten run as they completed the campaign.
The Whites are now looking for recruits in the summer transfer window as they look to compete at the highest level.
They will face off against the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United in the 2020/21 campaign and one has to imagine that they will not be there simply to make up the numbers.
Indeed, targets appear to have been identified by director of football Victor Orta, with Liverpool’s Harry Wilson an option.
Football Insider, though, reports that they face competition in the race to secure the signature of the winger, who has spent the last three seasons out on loan.
He played for AFC Bournemouth in 2019/20 but it is Southampton who are set to rival Leeds for his signature.
Manager Bielsa is an admirer of Wilson’s playing style, and he is said to believe that he can turn into a major star at Elland Road.
Southampton, though, are also keen, with Ralph Hasenhuttl also hoping to snaffle him away from Anfield.
Liverpool have a number of forward options and it is difficult to imagine Wilson making a breakthrough this term.

Wilson would be an intriguing signing for Leeds.
The 23-year-old has made just one senior appearance for Liverpool but has plenty of experience in both the Premier League and the Championship, making a total of 84 appearances in both divisions.
During his time at Bournemouth, he has scored seven goals in 31 games, featuring mainly as a right winger but also being deployed on the left wing and in attacking midfield.
He is versatile, and a goalscorer who can make things happen out of nothing.
And he also has a point to prove.
He has never been given a proper chance at Liverpool but at Leeds, he could well prove Jurgen Klopp wrong and emerge as a star under Bielsa’s tutelage.
That’s if they can beat Saints to the punch – they must try.
