Liverpool are keen to bring in French trio Hugo Lloris, Mamadou Sakho and Yann M'Vila, report the Sun.

Kenny Dalglish is expected to be given plenty of money to spend this summer after signing Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in the January transfer window

But, keen to close the gap to the top five in the Barclays Premier League, Liverpool's technical director Damien Comolli is ready to spend big again.

Lloris has been linked with a move to rivals Manchester United for several months and Liverpool have been alerted by his refusal to sign a new deal with his club Lyon.

M'Vila, a defensive midfielder, is a new addition to Larent Blanc's French side and is rated at £18 million.

Sakho has meanwhile been tracked by Arsenal and was watched, along with Lloris, by Liverpool's Comolli on Saturday during PSG's win over Lyon.

Fears that the Anfield club may lose Pepe Reina this summer has led to them contacting the keeper with a view to a move to Merseyside.

As well as the Frenchmen, the likes of Ashley Young, Gary Cahill and Xabi Prieto have all been linked with a move to Liverpool.
