Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski grabbed a brace in the club’s 4-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday to add to his incredible goalscoring stats this season. The Poland international has now scored 53 goals in 44 games this season, a rate of 1.2 goals per game. He’s making the Champions League look silly as well with 13 goals in 7 appearances in 2019/20. That’s four shy of the record Cristiano Ronaldo set in 2013/14. He only has a maximum of three games to break the record thanks to the one-legged quarter-final and semi-final ties, but in normal circumstances he would probably have no problems beating Ronaldo’s tally.Lewandowski also moved up into fourth place in the list of the highest goalscorers in Champions League.

The 31-year-old’s brace against Chelsea moved him to 66 goals in the competition, one more than Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

Ronaldo leads the way with 130 goals but Lewandowski matches the Juventus star with a ratio of 0.76 goals per Champions League game.

Lewa is now just five goals behind Raul’s record in the all-time rankings.

So Lewandowski is up to fourth, and yet he's still 64 goals behind Ronaldo's tally.

The Champions League really does belong to CR7.
