Liverpool defender target Aly Cissokho admits a Barclays Premier League move would suit him this summer.

The Lyon left-back has impressed in Ligue 1 after joining the French side from Porto, and now a string of clubs across Europe are thought to be taking an interest in the player.

Liverpool are one of those from England linked with a move for the player, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea also named by the player.

Bayern Munich and Juventus are also thought to be interested in the player, and a summer move now appears to be on the cards for the French international.

"I think this is a league that suits me," said the player in reference to England.

"It is a league where you can show power and get forward. Whether it is clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Man City now Liverpool or Chelsea, they are clubs you dream about."

Reds boss Kenny Dalgish is known to be in the market for a left back, with Liverpool searching for a long-term Paul Konchesky replacement after the player failed to impress following his summer arrival at Anfield.

Jose Enrique, Taye Taiwo and Fabio Coentrao have all been mentioned as possible Liverpool targets as the Merseysiders draw up their summer transfer shortlist, and Cissokho is another potential name to add to the list.

Damien Comolli, director of football at Anfield, is still thought to have strong connections in France, and the Liverpool supremo is likely to be aware of the players development through his contacts.
