WWE superstar Bill Goldberg has called rival Roman Reigns ‘a joke’ in an interview with the American Monster Productions YouTube channel

Goldberg and Reigns were set to fight at WrestleMania 36, but the bout didn’t go ahead due to ‘The Big Dog’ opting out because of the ongoing pandemic.

Despite coronavirus running rampant around the world, Vince McMahon and co. continued to run shows behind closed doors, including 'Mania.

Sadly, however, that meant Reigns lost his spot on the card as he wasn't prepared to compete whilst the virus was still at large.

When you take into consideration everything the Superstar has gone through in recent years, it's a totally understandable decision, and one that he shouldn't be criticised for.

However, it seems that Goldberg is still thinking about The Big Dog, and has now branded him a 'joke'.

Goldberg’s comment came as a direct result of comments made by Reigns prior to this year’s ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.

In a packed and crazy interview, Goldberg said: “You're a joke, first of all.

"Second of all, when he ragged on me about headbutting doors and stuff, for you guys to get my character, I had to do certain things, one of them was headbutt the door.

“That may look like a stupid move, but we all weigh the positives and negatives, so it's positive to make it as violent as humanly possible and as real as humanly positive.

“The negative is you lose a little blood and hey, you get another concussion and another week off your life."

Goldberg was clearly unhappy with Reigns’ comments as he proceeded to rant on for longer about The Big Dog and his previous feuds with the former WWE Champion.

Braun Strowman was the man who eventually took Reigns’ place at WrestleMania 36, and actually defeated the WWE Hall of Famer to claim the Universal Championship, which he still holds to this day.

As for Reigns, he is still away from WWE television, and again, it is no surprise given his turbulent two years.

After stunning the world back in 2018 with the news that he had been diagnosed with cancer for the second time in his life, it sent WWE fans into shock.

As mentioned, Reigns is still currently away from TV and WWE programming, with concerns for his wellbeing due to his previous health issues.

It is uncertain at the minute when he will be back, with the main priority being Reigns getting back to full fitness, but it seems that we haven't heard or seen the last of Goldberg vs Roman!
