Arsenal's youngsters are making waves in America with back-to-back victories in the Dallas Cup.

Neil Banfield and Steve Bould's side followed up their 5-1 victory against tournament hosts the Dallas Texans with a comprehensive 6-0 victory against Central American side Chorrillo FC in the Under 19 competition.

The highly rated Kyle Ebecilio, Conor Henderson and Luke Freeman have all been involved, helping the Gunners to become the competition's leading scorers and moving them closer to semi-final qualification from their 'Super Group'.

An opening match in-front of almost 12,000 fans shows the junior event has captured the imagination of the American public, with the Pizza Hut Park stadium and surrounding pitches playing host to the tournament in Texas.

Bolivian outfit Club Bolivar hold the final group test for the Gunners tomorrow, with a potential showdown against Barcelona or the Japanese U18 national side on the horizon in the later stages of the competition.

“It’s a tournament we’ve been invited to and Liam Brady has decided to accept the invitation to give our lads some exposure to different styles of football and to be involved in a very good competition,” Banfield told ahead of the trip.

“It’s a really tough tournament and we are looking forward to testing our tactics and skills against these teams.

“We will be a young group but that’s the way we do things at this Club and that’s the way we look to the future with the development of our players.”
