The rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo seeking a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer are not going away anytime soon.

After a frustrating second season with Juventus, the Portuguese superstar is being linked with a sensational move to the French capital.

It's a transfer that doesn't seem logical on paper, especially given the amount of money PSG have invested in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the past few years.

But the French champions have surprised us before. Back in the early months of 2017, no one could have guessed that Neymar would ditch Barcelona for Paris that summer in a £198m deal.

As such, the prospect of signing Ronaldo is a real one and given this is PSG we're talking about, the Portuguese is far from the Ligue 1 champions' only transfer target this summer.

Spanish publication AS have created PSG's potential starting XI for the 2020/21 season if they sign their top targets and it looks awesome on paper.

Would these six new additions make the French giants the best team on the planet?

Goalkeeper | Keylor Navas

PSG have absolutely no reason to consider replacing their world-class number one.

Right-back | Leo Dubois

The Lyon and France international would be the perfect signing to remedy what is currently a rather weak department in PSG's squad.

Dubois is renowned as one of the best full-backs in Ligue 1 and is capable of playing in midfield and at left-back.

Centre-back | Marquinhos

Already one of the best centre-backs in the world, Marquinhos will assume the role of defensive leader next season with Thiago Silva departing the club.

Centre-back | Milan Skriniar

Silva's exit means PSG will dip into the market for a new centre-back and Inter Milan's Slovakian colossus would be the perfect replacement.

He's fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte, but the 25-year-old would still be an astute acquisition for Thomas Tuchel's side.

Left-back | Sergio Reguilon

The Real Madrid defender is revered as one of the best in La Liga these days after spending the 2019/20 season on loan at Sevilla.

Los Blancos already have Ferland Mendy and Marcelo to compete for the left-back role, so it would be relatively easy for PSG to nip and sign him.

Centre-mid | Thiago Alcantara

Thiago has made it clear that he wants to leave Bayern this summer, with Liverpool continually linked with a move for the silky Spaniard.

But the Reds seem unwilling to cough up the cash for the 29-year-old, which could see PSG swoop in to give their midfield a serious injection of quality.

Centre-mid | Marco Verratti

Thiago and Verratti in the same midfield? Opposing teams would barely get a touch of the ball.

Centre-mid | James Rodriguez

Rodriguez's stock has been plummeting for some years now, but on his day he's still one of the world's elite playmakers.

The Colombian needs a fresh challenge after regressing at Real Madrid and the prospect of him operating behind PSG's elite attackers is a mouthwatering one.

Right-wing | Kylian Mbappe

Just the 30 goals and 18 assists in 34 games across all competitions for Mbappe so far in 2019/20...

Striker | Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo's record is this season is similar to that of the French starlet. In 46 games for Juve, the Portuguese scored 37 times and provided seven assists.

Left-wing | Neymar

Mbappe, Ronaldo and Neymar as a front three would be absolutely ridiculous and would rival Barcelona's famous 'MSN'.

If that attacking trident is created this summer, goalscoring records are going to be broken every single week in 2020/21.

And just think, that starting XI doesn't even include Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi, Idrissa Gueye or Ander Herrera...
