Carlo Ancelotti believes Fernando Torres will break his scoring duck very soon, but the Chelsea manager isn’t concentrating on the issue as he prepares to face Birmingham tomorrow night.

"I'm not worried about this," Ancelotti told Sky Sports News, regarding Torres' first goal for Chelsea.

"I hope tomorrow [Torres will score] but my thoughts right now are to put out the best team, to play good football and to win the game.

"He played nine minutes [against West Brom] and he showed character, I liked it. He scored but it was offside.”

Torres has gone over 800 minute without a goal, and pundits are now deciding whether the Spaniard is a sleeping giant for Chelsea or a mere flop.

"He will score,” the Chelsea manager said defiantly.

“He can score if he plays [against Birmingham].

“But it doesn't matter if Fernando or another scores.”

Chelsea face a strong Birmingham side tomorrow night, and will be looking to move higher in the Barclays Premier League and give leaders Manchester United and Arsenal a run for their money. And should Torres score his first goal in a Chelsea shirt, the Blues’ confidence will no doubt reach an all time high.
