To go from Lemar and Bailey to being linked with Traore is a kick in the face for Everton supporters.
Lemar and Bailey are prestigious talents - one being the subject of a £92m bid from Arsenal and the other subject of £80m interest from Chelsea in years gone by.
Although Traore was thought of as an "exceptional" talent when he was a teenager, the fact of the matter is that now, he's rather average.
The Burkina Faso international found the net just four times last season and is unlikely to improve an Everton flank that is in desperate need of more firepower.
Alex Iwobi and Theo Walcott netted three goals between them in 2019/20, while Bernard found the net on just three occasions himself.
For context, only one of Traore's strikes this term came in Ligue 1.
Added to that is his poor record in English football. He appeared just ten times for Chelsea before being shipped on.
The only exceptional quality about Traore is his dribbling. Capable of beating a player with mesmeric pace and ball skills, he has completed 2.2 successful dribbles per match in the 2019/20 Champions League.
