Newcastle welcome Manchester United to St James' Park tonight in the Barclays Premier League.

Alan Pardew's side are hoping for their first win over United in almost 10 years. Kevin Nolan is suspended for the Magpies, but Stephen Ireland is expected to make his debut.

United will be looking to bounce back from their FA Cup semi-final defeat inflicted by Manchester City on Saturday.

Wayne Rooney is available again after his two-match ban, while Paul Scholes will begin his three-game suspension after being sent off last weekend.

Elsewhere, Jack Wilshere is adamant Arsenal can still catch United to seal their first title triumph since 2004. The Gunners could fall nine points behind their rivals, should the Red Devils win tonight.

PFA Players' Player of the Year Gareth Bale has told Tottenham he wants to remain at the club in order to repay the fans, despite alleged interest in his signature from Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool can climb above Spurs and salvage a spot in the Europa League after a desperate start to the season.

Finally, Salomon Kalou says Didier Drogba can keep playing until his late thirties - just like United veteran Ryan Giggs.
