Leeds United are trying to strengthen their squad.
They are back in the Premier League and are looking to secure the kind of signings that can make them competitive in the top-flight.
One has to imagine that Leeds are not planning to simply make up the numbers in the top-flight and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Wolves, who have secured two consecutive top-seven finishes.
And they have identified potential targets to strengthen Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Sport Witness carries a report from Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, who claim that there is interest in a Brazilian defender in the summer window.
Leeds are said to be interested in Lyanco, who currently plays for Torino in Serie A.
He joined Bologna in loan in 2019 but is now back with his parent club and the report states that Sporting Lisbon have made an offer for him, asking to pay €5 million (£4.4m) for a portion of his rights, but Torino want €10m (£8.9m).
The Italian club are said to be aware of rival interest in the player, with Leeds mentioned as a potential destination.
He has struggled with injury issues throughout the season and completed the 90 minutes just eight times in 2019/20.
That may be a reason for Torino being willing to sell; they paid €7m (£6.2m) to sign him from Sao Paulo in 2017, per the report, and could make a profit this summer.

This doesn’t feel like the right deal for Leeds to do.
There seems to be the possibility of an auction for Lyanco’s services, with Torino clearly willing to cash in.
But there is a reason he is only valued at £5.85m on Transfermarkt.
His injury issues have held him back this season and that has to be a worry for a player who is still only 23.
Agents, of course, will be hawking a number of players to Victor Orta and Bielsa, but this is one call the club really need to ignore.
He wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter, and that is what Leeds need to be looking for.
