Leeds United are kicking on with plans for the coming season.

Following 16 years outside of the top flight the Yorkshire side are hoping to make up for lost time as they prepare for the challenge that lies ahead.

While Marcelo Bielsa's side were unstoppable in the Championship they know that it's going to be a completely different scenario this term.

Leeds will be facing up to some of the biggest and richest clubs in world football this term, and that means that they'll need to up their game if they're to compete week in, week out.

The Whites will have aspirations of doing more than just avoiding the drop, but if they're to do that then they'll need to strengthen according.

Harry Wilson is one player who has been heavily linked, with reports suggesting that the Liverpool man could be available for around £20million.

But despite a mixed campaign with Bournemouth last season, Darren Bent believes that a move to Elland Road could be 'perfect' to help the Wales international to find his feet in the top flight.

Speaking to Football Insider, Bent said: "I watched Harry Wilson a lot when he was at Derby and a bit when he was at Bournemouth and I do really like him.

“I still don’t feel he’s reached the level I expected him to be at, especially after his season at Derby, when he went on loan to the Premier League I expected him to kick on.

“He could be a fantastic signing but we go back to this whole being settled thing – rather than going on loan to Leeds, on loan to Bournemouth, on loan to Derby, at some stage you need to settle down and he’s getting to an age – he’s a Wales international – where he needs to be settled and playing.

“I think Leeds could be perfect, the perfect landing spot for him.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Harry Wilson is certainly a player with a lot of potential.

After coming through the ranks at Liverpool and spending a season on loan with Derby County, it seemed that the world was at his feet.

However last term at Bournemouth was mixed at best.

Despite scoring seven goals in the season, Wilson never really found the sort of form that people expected.

Another chance to shine in the Premier League is deserved, and I'm sure that he would look a lot more impressive under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United.

That said, I'm not convinced that he would be a first choice signing for the Whites.

Players such as Said Benrahma and Ebere Eze have both been linked, and in my opinion, both of them would represent better deals in both the short and long-term.
