Alexandre Lacazette will not have the fondest memories of the 2019/20 season. While the Frenchman was part of Arsenal's FA Cup-winning team, the 29-year-old really struggled to score goals on a consistent basis. In his 30 Premier League appearances, the former Lyon striker managed to find the back of the net only 10 times, which is quite simply not good enough.Lacazette's hold-up play in high-profile games towards the end of the season was key to Mikel Arteta's setup, but the manager will certainly be concerned about his striker's lack of goals. As such, rumours of Arsenal looking to sell Lacazette this summer have cropped up regularly in recent weeks and Juventus are being touted as a potential destination for the French international.Lacazette warming upIt seems the club will not stand in the way of a potential move to Turin, however, the Gunners hierarchy are reportedly demanding a player from the Bianconeri in return.According to Marco Conterio of Tutto Mercato Web, Arsenal have enquired about taking Brazilian winger Douglas Costa in exchange for selling Lacazette.

Costa has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus of late and scored just one goal in his 23 Serie A appearances in 2019/20.

GIVEMESPORT'S Danny Ryan...

This rumour just makes no sense at all.

Unless Juve are going to cough up a decent transfer fee, as well as Costa, for Lacazette, the Gunners should steer well clear.

Costa is now 29, not to mention he has been hopelessly out of form for some time now and Arsenal are in need of new signings ready to make an instant impact.

Costa with Juventus

Furthermore, with Willian's impending arrival from Chelsea, the Gunners really don't need to prioritise bolstering their forward line.

If they really want to offload Lacazette this summer, do it for cash only and then use the fee acquired to invest in new defenders.

Or maybe, just maybe, ask Juve if they fancy parting ways with a Mister Aaron Ramsey in exchange...
