Liverpool’s ascent to the top of the world has benefitted the club in more ways than one.Yes, the trophies are nice. But the commercial value that stems from winning the Premier League and Champions League will ensure Liverpool can remain successful for many years to come.Data from Brand Finance last month found that the Reds are now the fourth-most valuable football brand in the world, with a value of £1.143 billion. That’s more than Manchester City (£1.018bn) and they’re catching up to Manchester United (£1.190bn).And Liverpool look set to cash in on their success once again when the Premier League funds for this season are distributed. In an in-depth thread on Twitter, football finance expert Swiss Ramble has estimated the payments of broadcast and central commercial revenues to all 20 clubs.Liverpool are set to receive a record £174.6 million, which is £6.3m more than Manchester City. It’s an increase of £22.2m on how much the Anfield club were paid last season, emphasising their continued success.Swiss Ramble’s estimations comes following a report in The Times that the £330m payment Premier League clubs owe to broadcasters, from delays in screening games due to Covid-19, will be paid over future seasons.Liverpool receive the most while relegated clubs Norwich City and Watford are both expected to be paid less than £100m.
