Manchester United enjoyed a superb end to the season.
The Red Devils’ last defeat in the Premier League came in January, when they lost 2-0 to Burnley at Old Trafford.
Following that, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side went 14 games unbeaten, defeating the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Leicester City en route to a third-placed finish.
They faced Brendan Rodgers’ side on the final day with a top-four finish on the line, and won 2-0 at the King Power Stadium; goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard proved decisive.
Solskjaer’s men subsequently sealed their top-three finish, finishing four points clear of the Foxes, though they were also 15 points behind runners-up Manchester City.
And it seems they are making plans to restructure Solskjaer’s squad in the coming weeks and months.
That does not just include new signings, but also tying down top stars to longer-term contracts.
And Sky Sports reports that Paul Pogba could sign on the dotted line soon.
United qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League earlier this week – they will play Sevilla this weekend – and the France international is expecting negotiations to begin once their campaign is over.
The World Cup winner has struggled with injury this season but played in every league game post-lockdown, scoring once and registering two assists.
His current contract expires at the end of next season, and the report states that Pogba wants to commit his future to the Old Trafford club.
Sky reports that he was linked with Real Madrid and Juventus last summer but he is now poised to sign on the dotted line.

Pogba is a world-class player.
United haven’t really seen the best of him this term but he appears to be back to full fitness and is aiding their push for a European trophy in 2019/20.
With the 27-year-old fit and firing, there is every chance that the Red Devils can win any competition they enter.
Tying him down would be a major boost, and ensure that Solskjaer can build around the ex-Juve star.
He is approaching his peak, and will surely be out to show just how good he is next season if he does sign on.
It has to be a priority.
