The Champions League is Europe's elite competition.

It's provided drama time and time again - and even while there were no fans in the stadium on Wednesday night - PSG vs Atalanta was still a classic.

The Ligue 1 side looked to have blown a great opportunity to reach the semi-finals when they went 1-0 down in the 26th minute.

But an inspired comeback, with goals in the 90th and 92nd minute, sent PSG through in what will go down as one of their most famous wins.

On the night, Neymar was named man of the match for his involvement in the two goals and in the comeback as a whole.

He had a pretty good game - but was nowhere near landing a famous perfect 10 rating from L'Equipe.

The French paper are notoriously harsh with their ratings and have only handed out a 10/10 in the Champions League on six occasions. Let's check them out.

Lewandowski has dropped a 10/10

1. Lionel Messi | Barcelona vs Arsenal | 2010

Messi scored all four goals in a 4-1 win against Arsenal that sent Barcelona through to the semi-finals in 2010.

His incredible performance came in the second leg of the tie, weeks after a 2-2 draw at the Emirates.

2. Lionel Messi | Barcelona vs Bayer Leverkusen | 2012

As if four goals in one game wasn't enough, Messi went one better in 2012, scoring FIVE vs Leverkusen.

He's the only player to earn a 10/10 from L'Equipe on two separate occasions.

3. Robert Lewandowski | Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid | 2013

Lewandowski's incredible performance vs Madrid sent Dortmund through to the Champions League final in 2013.

He scored FOUR against a defence that featured Pepe, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane - establishing himself as one of the best number 9's in Europe on the night.

4.  Dusan Tadic | Ajax vs Real Madrid | 2019

Tadic was the key man as Ajax shocked Real Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Bernabeu.

Madrid had taken a 2-1 lead into the game but lost 4-1 at home. Tadic scored the third but also provided a sensational assist to David Neres.

5. Lucas Moura | Spurs vs Ajax | 2019

Another unforgettable comeback in that season's Champions League but this time, Ajax were on the wrong end of it.

Moura single-handedly dragged Tottenham into the final, with a hat-trick away in Holland, which included the 96th-minute winner to send Spurs through on away goals.

6. Serge Gnabry | Bayern vs Spurs | 2019

Before 2010, L'Equipe failed to hand out a 10/10 performance in the Champions League. In 2019, they did it three times.

But Gnabry, like those before him, fully deserves it for hitting four against Tottenham in north London. He must have loved doing that as a former Arsenal player.

There we have it, the six players that have received a perfect 10 rating from L'Equipe in the Champions League.

Incredibly, half came in 2019 alone. What a year that was!

Europe's elite competition concludes this month, with the mini-tournament in Lisbon already underway.

The Champions League continues in Lisbon

The likes of Messi, Lewandowski, Neymar and Gnabry are all still present, so perhaps we will see someone drop another 10/10 performance before the winner is crowned?

We can only hope!
