Bayern Munich are absolutely humiliating Barcelona in the Champions League right now.We all anticipated the European quarter-final to be an entertaining affair, but it exceeded our wildest of expectations with no less than five goals being scored in the opening 30 minutes.Thomas Muller opened the scoring with a fine left-footed finish after four minutes, only for the Blaugrana to instantly equalise after a horrible open goal from David Alaba.

Crazy Bayern vs Barca clash

However, that was about as close as Barca possibly got to making it an even contest with the Bavarians proceeding to race into a 4-1 lead before half-time.

Ivan Perisic initially fired Bayern back into the lead, before Serge Gnabry made it 3-1 from a stunning ball over the top and Muller rounded off the humiliation with his second of the game.

The only consolation for Barca was that they had nothing to lose after the break and low and behold, they even bagged themselves a superb consolation goal courtesy of Luis Suarez.

Davies' insane assist vs Barca

Any semblance of a comeback was short lived, though, with Bayern proceeding to recover back into a three-goal lead with Joshua Kimmich tapping home from a matter of yards.

But we'd be lying if we said it should be a considered a goal for which Kimmich will be remembered, because it was all about the stunning assist from Alphonso Davies on the left-hand side.

Frankly, we don't have the words to do his incredible run justice, so just do yourself a favour and check out the scintillating footage down below:

He's done a Lionel Messi. It's as simple as that. What can you say about that?

There's now a tangible argument for Davies being the best full-back in the world on current form, certainly in terms of offensive play, which is no small statement with Trent Alexander-Arnold for competition.

But there's no denying that Davies is near enough impossible to stop when he puts on those Road Runner-like after burners and he even has the dribbling skills as well as the final product to match it.

Not bad when you're playing against Barcelona, either.
