Philippe Coutinho may have just extinguished any hope of him returning to Barcelona to rekindle his career at the Camp Nou.The Brazilian is on loan to Bayern Munich for the season and came off the bench to score twice as the German side humiliated Barca 8-2.His first day back in training at Barcelona in a couple of weeks time could be interesting.The former Liverpool midfielder’s future is up in the air after Bayern decided not to sign him permanently after a fairly unsuccessful loan spell. And the Catalan club have made it pretty clear they’re happy to sell him.He’s been linked with a return to the Premier League with Arsenal seemingly the frontrunners for his signature.In fact, the Gunners were even offered the chance to sign him for just £9 million if they handed Barcelona Matteo Guendouzi in return. That looks an even better deal for Mikel Arteta’s side right now.
After two goals against his parent club last night Coutinho’s name was, unsurprisingly, trending on Twitter.But it wasn’t for his 15-minute cameo and his brace. It was for a tweet he sent all the way back in 2011, which quickly went viral.On September 3 2011, Coutinho tweeted: “Hi. Today we had a game against the junior team. I scored two goals. Now at home watching a movie. bye.”

Coutinho would have been at Inter Milan back then and struggling to break into the first-team before his loan spell to Espanyol.
It was only when he signed for Liverpool for £8.5 million in January 2013 that Coutinho’s career really began.
He spent five years on Merseyside, playing more than 200 times for Liverpool scoring more than 50 goals.
But he forced through a dream move to Barcelona in January 2018. A dream move that has turned into something of a nightmare as he failed to replicate the form that saw Barca spend a reported £142 million on him.
Now, he’s just upset the Blaugrana more than ever.
