Barcelona were ripped apart by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Friday night.

The Blaugrana were battered 8-2 in Lisbon, suffering their worst defeat since 1943.

It was a terrible end to a very disappointing season as Quique Setien's side crashed out of the mini-tournament with a whimper.

Actually, terrible is being kind. Barcelona were utterly humiliated by their Bundesliga opposition.

Bayern were 4-1 up at half-time and if it wasn't for a crazy own-goal from David Alaba, it would have been 4-0.

Luis Suarez only managed to score one consolation goal in the second half which saw Barca hit rock bottom. It really was a night to forget for the La Liga side.

Naturally, there's one thing every football fan wants to know following a horrific performance like that - the L'Equipe player ratings.

It was a horrendous evening for Barca

The French newspaper is infamously harsh in handing out their verdicts and Friday night was no different.

In fact, it was the first time L'Equipe have ever given a manager a 1/10... poor Setien. But deserved.

The actual Barca squad didn't make for easy reading either. Check them out below:

The L'Equipe ratings are not kind

Absolutely brutal.

Five of Barcelona's starting 11 have been given 2/10 ratings - that's Gerard Pique, Nelson Semedo, Sergio Busquests, Frenkie De Jong and Arturo Vidal.

Actually, to see some of those players avoiding 1/10 is actually quite kind. It doesn't get much better for the rest of them, though.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Lionel Messi all receive a 3/10, while Luis Suarez was Barca's best player, with a rating of 4.

Messi was rated 3/10

For a Champions League quarter-final, those are incredibly low - especially compared to Bayern

Thomas Muller gets the highest rating of 9, while Serge Gnabry, Ivan Perisic, Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies are all rated 8/10.

Alaba's 4/10 is quite harsh, but he probably won't care. Those Barca players on the other hand, they can have no complaints.
