Despite apparently having no money, it's Tottenham who look like one of the more active clubs in the transfer window.
They confirmed the £15m arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this week and are keen to press on with further incomings.
It's thought that Spurs are now lining up a swoop for Callum Wilson, while Gareth Bale is still in their thoughts.
It doesn't matter whether it's a summer or a winter window, Bale always seems to get linked with a sensational return to north London.
Any expensive deal would surely be difficult to complete this summer. Spurs had to borrow a loan of £175m from the government while it's been estimated that Jose Mourinho's men are facing losses of £200m.
However, Tottenham simply have to find a way to improve their squad.
They finished sixth in 2019/20, failing to capitalise on their run to the Champions League final a year before.
It could be that Daniel Levy targets players to boost the team's depth. After all, they don't have the riches available to them in order to significantly improve the starting XI.
One of the players who could do that is Robin Quaison.
The player was linked with a move earlier in the week but now Spurs are stepping up their pursuit.
That's according to German publication BILD (via Inside Futbol), who suggest that Tottenham have 'put out feelers' in their attempts to sign the Mainz winger.
Quaison is valued at £9.45m per Transfermarkt, but it's not apparent just how much Levy may have to pay to bring him to the Premier League.

Spurs have a plethora of wingers at their disposal - Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Steven Bergwijn or even Son-Heung Min all fill those positions.
As a result, a swoop for someone like Quaison doesn't make too much sense on paper.
That being said, the Sweden international can also play in a central position just behind the striker.
Not many will have heard of him on English shores but he is an eye-catching player who keeps getting better. He scores goals on a regular basis, netting seven in 13 appearances for his national team.
He also found the net 13 times in the Bundesliga last season.
However, it's his ability to beat a man that's most eye-catching. Compared to Bayern Munich sensation Serge Gnabry, he completed 1.4 dribbles last term.
The Bundesliga website claims that his "excellent dribbling" and "quick feet" make him an exciting individual to watch.
Following the departure of Christian Eriksen, it would surely be through the middle of the pitch that Quaison features. Though, he'll have to better his assist tally of two if he does.
If the Swede can improve his ability to pick out a pass, he'd be a shrewd piece of business from Spurs.
