UFC 252 took centre stage on Saturday evening and it was the heavyweight showdown between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier that headlined the event. The trilogy fight we've all been waiting for, and we finally have an outright winner after Miocic got the job done via decision after five brutal heavyweight rounds.Going into the fight, both competitors had a win each to their names; Cormier getting the result in the first fight, before Miocic got his revenge in the second.Unlike the last two fights, however, this one didn't end in a knockout. The two heavyweights scrapped and brawled for the entirety, and it was only on decision that Miocic got his hand raised in victory.Ahead of the fight it was heavily reported that the winner of the main event would get a big money offer to fight Jon Jones, who has been looking to step up to heavyweight for some time now.Whether that comes to fruition, however, is still unknown, but it's certainly something to look out for in the coming weeks.
