It was the trilogy fight we've all been waiting for.No, we're not talking about Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder, that's still to come, but we are talking about heavyweights from UFC.Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier stepped inside the Octagon to face each other for a third and final time last night, and it was the former that came out the deciding victor.Going all the way to the judges' scorecards, it was the reigning champion that got the decision, as they normally do in UFC, and it just confirms his status as the best heavyweight in the world right now.Where do they both go from here? Well, for Cormier, his time in the Octagon is probably over, and he will surely take a permanent slot behind the commentator's desk from here on out, but what a career it has been. For Miocic, he may be waiting to see what president Dana White has in store for him, but a big money fight against Jon Jones was touted ahead of the bout this weekend.Going into the fight last night, it was one apiece for the two heavyweights; Cormier got the job done in the first fight before Miocic got the win in the rematch.

Now, we have a definitive answer and it's Miocic who is the better of the two men, although, as can be seen in the image above, an early poke to the eye caused Cormier a whole world of problems for the remainder of the fight.

But as the fight went to decision, what did the judges' scorecards look like?

Well, luckily for us, that has finally been revealed, and it was unanimous in favour of Miocic.

Two judges voted it 49-46, whilst the third voted it a bit closer at 48-47.

Although there was no knockout, which all UFC fans love to see, it was still a solid fight for the heavyweight division, and it sets things up nicely for the future for the champion.

We look forward to hearing Cormier more often now from commentary, rather than inside the cage, and we look forward to seeing what's in store for the champ.
