Romelu Lukaku has been in astonishing form for Inter Milan this season.
There was hardly a tear shed by Manchester United fans when the Belgian was sold last summer, but 33 goals in just 50 appearances at the San Siro has certainly turned heads back in England.
And the brilliance of Lukaku since leaving Old Trafford couldn't have been clearer during the Europa League semi-finals on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Lukaku shines vs Shakhtar
His former club suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat against Sevilla in Cologne, producing no less than 20 shots on goal, but only finding the net through a Bruno Fernandes penalty.
And that desperate need for a lethal touch in front of goal was then teased right in front of their eyes as Lukaku proceeded to find the net twice during Inter Milan's 5-0 victory the following night.
Sure, the opponents might have been a slightly-overrated Shakhtar Donetsk side, but you only need to look at Lukaku's second goal, a fine individual strike, to see the sort of form he's in right now.
Were Man Utd right to sell Lukaku?
Some remarkable statistics have emerged about Lukaku this season, too, with perhaps none of them being topped by the fact he trails Ronaldo Nazario's debut year tally by just a single goal.
If that doesn't put Lukaku's form into context, we're not sure what does, but should United fans genuinely be kicking themselves at having let the former Everton man go?
Well, we decided to take an objective look at that question here at GIVEMESPORT, turning to the statistical boffins at WhoScored.com to try and construct the best comparison possible.
Lukaku compared to Man Utd players
We've compared the average match rating that Lukaku amassed during his Serie A appearances, seeing as his Europa League campaign isn't finished, with that of the United squad in the Premier League.
So, that's over 20 data-sets averaged out per game, which is comfortably more than 30 for many players, with the results concluding that Lukaku has been the third highest-rated player.
You can check out the full results down below to see how Lukaku stacks up against his old comrades:

GIVEMESPORT's Kobe Tong says
So, there you have it then, selling Lukaku was a gargantuan mistake... right? Not for me.
Look, hats off to Lukaku, because he really put his foot down in wanting to leave United despite an appetite for him to stay and it's been the best possible decision for his career.
Both Antonio Conte's system and the nature of Italian football suit him much better than what would have been on offer at United, especially considering Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's love for the younger forwards.
Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have gone as far as outscoring Liverpool's front three this season and would that have been possible if Lukaku remained? Surely not.
Similarly, would Lukaku have amassed 33 goals had he stayed in the Premier League? That's probably a big fat 'no' as well and let me be clear, that's no slight against the 27-year-old.
The discourse of modern football is often black and white - they're either a stellar signing or a complete flop, either worth sacking or the best thing since sliced bread... you get the picture.
However, what's happened with Lukaku and United this season is the perfect example of a player being well worth keeping on paper, but ultimately should be sold for both parties involved.
It has, after all, been mutually beneficial for everyone involved and what's not to love about that?
