Man United to offer outcast to Aston Villa as part of Jack Grealish deal

Manchester United will be worth watching this season.

After a season of real progress at Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side look like they're ready to kick on.

A third place finish in the Premier League last term represented a decent campaign, but this time around they'll be hoping to kick on further.

Liverpool and Manchester City have dominated the league in recent seasons, but after finding a winning formula, United will have hopes of closing the gap on their two fiercest rivals.

If that's to happen, they'll need to strengthen.

Plenty of names have already been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but one player continues to attract interest.

That man is Jack Grealish.

The midfielder has established himself as Aston Villa's talisman after guiding them to promotion from the Championship.

He then proved to be decisive in the club's ability to avoid relegation last term.

With Villa having consolidated their spot in the Premier League, speculation has suggested that Grealish could look to move on.

Man United have been heavily linked with a move, and appear to be favourites to secure his signature.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, they may have found a way to strike a deal with Villa.

It's claimed that United could offer Sergio Romero in part-exchange for Grealish.

The Argentine keeper has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and is deemed surplus to requirements.

With Grealish said to be valued at around £70million, it seems that United will need to find an alternative arrangement to meet Villa's asking price.

Villa are known to be in the market for a stopper after being linked with a move for Aaron Ramsdale.

But with the Bournemouth man seemingly set for a move to Sheffield United, it means that Dean Smith's search for a goalkeeper will continue.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Described by Dean Smith as a player with 'great football knowledge', Jack Grealish would be a great signing for Manchester United.

A big-game player, the Aston Villa man seems like the ideal candidate to thrive under the pressure that comes with playing at Old Trafford.

A £70million valuation is a lot, so I think that United will want to bring that price down slightly if they're to do a deal.

Add-ons could play a part, while a part-exchange is another option.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoping to offload a number of players this summer, there are a number of men who could be appealing to Villa.

Sergio Romero is one of them, for sure.
