It's already been a summer to remember for Chelsea. After securing a top four finish in the Premier League, it's mission accomplished for Frank Lampard who was dealt a difficult hand in his first season in charge. As well as losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, the Blues were dealt the blow of a transfer ban which stopped them from bringing any players to the club. But with that ban now over, the London side certainly haven't wasted any time.Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have already joined the club, and there's plenty of others being linked.A goalkeeper, a central defender and a left back are all being targeted, however it's the pursuit of a playmaker that seems to be the most advanced. While several players have been linked, it's the pursuit of one starlet in particular which is taking the headlines.Of course we're talking about Kai Havertz.p1eg3okopq832chm1fjq1m2u18hf9.jpgThe Bayer Leverkusen man has reportedly been in talks over a move to Chelsea, but no deal has yet been agreed. But as speculation continues to mount, it seems that the 20-year-old is keen to force the issue.Reports from German publication Bild, as quoted by broadcaster Jan Aage Fjortoft, have claimed that Havertz have asked his club to hurry up in agreeing a deal.He tweeted: "Havertz has told his Leverkusen-bosses: I want to play for Chelsea and please don’t take too long agreeing a fee with them, cause I want to start training there as quick as possible."

Fjortoft then added that personal terms are already agreed over a move, meaning that all that's left to do is for the clubs to thrash out a transfer deal.

He said: "Leverkusen want 100m Euro. Chelsea have offered 80m. In their negotiations they now try to find a model for the the 20m through instalments/ bonuses."

Fjortoft added: "His personal terms already agreed. Contract till 2025. Financial package of agreement on fee: Personal terms 100m + fee 100m = 200 mil.

"Abramovich, Granovskaia and Lampard are all on the same page here."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

The sooner this deal gets completed, the better.

Kai Havertz is one of the most talented young players in world football at the moment, and Chelsea will be doing very well to sign him up.

The 20-year-old clearly wants to make the move, and the Blues want to make it happen.

Bayer Leverkusen are clearly holding out for their asking price - and rightly so.

It seems that a deal might not be too far away, and once that is agreed I'd expect a move to happen pretty sharp-ish.
