So it’s set. Bayern Munich will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Sunday.

PSG sailed into the final - marking the first time they will appear in the big game - with a 3-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday.

And German champions Bayern joined them by beating Lyon by the same scoreline on Wednesday.

It has the makings of a memorable encounter. Hansi Flick’s side are scoring goals for fun, having netted 11 times in their past two games, while PSG’s front line has the ability to hurt any team.

Kylian Mbappe will certainly relish the chance to play against Bayern’s high defensive line.

And in Neymar, the French striker has a teammate who has already tormented Bayern Munich before.

Five years ago, Neymar was a part of the Barcelona side that defeated Bayern 5-3 on aggregate to reach the 2015 final.

The Brazilian scored three times across the two legs, including a brace in the second match to heap misery on Pep Guardiola and his players.

His individual highlights from the second leg in Germany were posted on YouTube back in May in a video titled ‘Neymar Destroying Bayern Munich’, and now is the perfect time to revisit his sensational display.

Back then, Neymar was playing alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in arguably the finest front three in the modern era.

The burden to lead Barcelona to Champions League glory was shared by the three players, with Neymar and Messi both scoring 10 goals in the campaign.

But now, things are different.

Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 so that the focus would be on him, and he’s got his wish.

Mbappe serves as his perfect partner but if PSG are to prevail against Bayern in the final, they need Neymar to deliver.

He’s done it before, though, and we wouldn’t bet against him doing it again.
