It's the day that all Premier League football fans look forward to.

No, we're not talking about the first day of the season - what we're discussing is far more exciting.

With the campaign a few weeks away the excitement starts to build on fixture release day.

The cynics will describe it as the day where every team finds out that they will play every other team twice over the course of the season.

We don't have time for those people.

For the rest of us, it's a day of huge excitement as we begin to imagine the season ahead.

Whether it's looking for the team that your side will face on the opening weekend, the much-loved festive fixtures or who you might play on the final day of the season when drama is at its best - there's something for everyone.

If you're like me you're already getting stuck into your Fantasy Premier League team to get it whipped into shape for the new season.

Mo Salah or Kevin De Bruyne? It's a tough decision, but I digress.

One key aspect of the season that we'll be looking out for is the title race.

While Liverpool made it slightly dull last term through their sheer dominance, Manchester City are very much expected to come back fighting this time around.

But it looks unlikely to be a two-horse race.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both showing real signs of intent that they could close the gap on the top two, with some excellent results and wonderful imminent signings on the horizon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard really mean business, and that means that they look like genuine contenders to close the gap on the title race.

While each of these sides will be expected to pick up three points against the majority of the other 16 teams, it's the matches between the four that will decide things.

With that in mind here's the full head-to-head fixture list between Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Oh my gosh, I am SO excited.

It's hard to believe that it's only been a few weeks since the last Premier League season ended, but in truth it feels like an eternity.

Not only is the new season fast approaching, I think we're in for a good one.

Unlike last year I've got a feeling that this year's title race could be very exciting.

With Manchester United and Chelsea looking like they've got genuine hopes of pushing towards the top of the table, it could set us up for a thrilling season.

I'm not in the business of making predictions, however I'll be very surprised if the title race is done and dusted shortly after New Year again!
