The Champions League final is arguably the biggest game in club football.

With Europe widely renowned as the sport's top continent, it's only right that the competition's showpiece event gets the plaudits that it deserves.

You only have to look at the calibre of the team who take part year in, year out.

This year will see the top clubs in Germany and France go head-to-head, with Bayern Munich taking on Paris Saint-Germain.

Whoever comes out on top can probably count themselves to be the best team in the world.

While the likes of Serge Gnabry, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are the players who will be looking to take the Champions League final by the scruff of the neck, there's another player who has his own motivation for winning the competition.

Alphonso Davies is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world football.

After joining Bayern Munich in January 2019, the 19-year-old has established himself as a key player for the German giants.

Winning the Champions League would be incredibly special for the Canadian prospect, but it could prove to be just the start of a special month on the Davies' household.

The wing-back's girlfriend, Jordyn Huitema, could also win the Champions League before the end of the month.

Huitema, who also hails from Canada, plays for Paris Saint-Germain and will be taking on Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the competition over the weekend.

Should PSG come out on top in that clash, they are just two victories away from the ultimate prize.

For the young couple, who have been together since the age of 16, to both win the Champions League in the same season would be a massive achievement.

If they can do it, we may well be looking at the worlds' next sporting power couple.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

What a way to announce yourselves as the biggest sporting power couples in the world.

Alphonso Davies is undoubtedly one of the best young male players in the world, while Jordyn Huitema certainly boasts the same profile in the womens' game.

If both players could go on to win the Champions League, it would be such a lovely story.

Having been together since the age of 16, it would be testament to the young couple's commitment to the sport that they both love.

We all love a love story - and with this one centred around football, there's nothing not to like!
