The Premier League may have only just finished a matter of weeks ago, but the new campaign is nearly upon us.

This week saw the eagerly anticipated fixture list revealed, and yes, you guessed it, each team will play everyone home and away. It's remarkable how things work out.

The fixtures provoke two types of reaction, some cannot wait to sink their teeth into who they'll be playing on the opening weekend.

However, there is another type of person - one who isn't fussed by when they play their various opposition.

In the Premier League, these fixtures are perhaps more difficult to work out than in the Football League.

The EFL often throws up its fair share of surprises and although the top-flight is difficult, it's a little more easier to work out where the majority of teams will finish.

The most intriguing matches, though, will probably come in the concluding weeks of the campaign.

Therefore, we've put together a list of every single team's final five league outings of the season. Of course, we cannot predict the future, but based on where teams usually finish, we ranked the difficulty of each club's fixtures.

Without further ado, here we go...

The easy section

20. Man City: Palace away, Chelsea at home, Newcastle away, Brighton away, Everton at home

If the Citizens are in with a shout of winning the Premier League they will have a pretty safe run-in barring Chelsea at home.

19. Liverpool: Man Utd away, Soton home, WBA away, Burnley away, Palace at home

Another title contender, barring the small matter of playing at Old Trafford, they have some really easy fixtures on paper. This should be a breeze for Jurgen Klopp's side.

18. Arsenal: Newcastle away, WBA at home, Chelsea away, Palace away, Brighton at home

The Gunners have been notoriously bad on the road in recent years but as far as Premier League fixture lists go, this run of games should be pretty stress-free.

17. Leeds: Brighton away, Spurs at home, Burnley away, Soton away, West Brom at home.

The Whites were famed for burning out towards the end of the 2018/19 season so it will come as a relief to supporters to see they have an easy run of matches.

Moderate difficulty

16. West Ham: Burnley away, Everton at home, Brighton away, West Brom away, Soton at home

The Hammers were abysmal in 2019/20 but this is a pretty mediocre run-in for them. You'd expect them to pick up a decent chunk of points here.

15. Sheffield Utd: Spurs away, Palace at home, Everton away, Newcastle away, Burnley at home

Who knows how Chris Wilder's side will do this term. If they suffer from second-season syndrome then this could actually be a tough run. If they display their resolute characteristics they shouldn't have too many issues.

14. Spurs: Sheff Utd at home, Leeds away, Wolves at home, Villa at home, Leicester away

Tottenham will be expecting to challenge for the top four next year so matches against both Wolves and Leicester will be interesting. They should, however, beat Sheffield United, Villa and Leeds.

13. Fulham: Chelsea away, Burnley at home, Soton away, Man Utd away, Newcastle at home

This is a difficult run of games for the Cottagers but they should have a fighting chance when they don't play Chelsea and United - that's providing they're not already down.

12. Burnley: West Ham at home, Fulham away, Leeds at home, Liverpool at home, Sheff Utd away.

We're starting to get into tricky territory now. However, the fact Burnley play three of their final five matches at home should be a relief. That being said, they face three sides who may well be in the relegation fight.

Tough fixtures

11. Everton: Villa at home, West Ham away, Sheff Utd at home, Wolves at home, Man City away

The Toffees could come out of this run with a healthy amount of points or they could come out of it with nothing. No one really knows after their inconsistencies last season.

10. Southampton: Leicester at home, Liverpool away, Fulham at home, Leeds at home, West Ham away

This looks pretty difficult for the Saints, especially if sides like Fulham and West Ham are trying to stay up.

9. Man Utd: Liverpool at home, Villa away, Leicester at home, Fulham at home, Wolves away

Given the fixture list has been kinder to their top-four rivals Arsenal and Spurs, this isn't an ideal set of games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men.

8. Wolves: West Brom away, Brighton at home, Spurs away, Everton away, Man Utd at home

This looks fairly difficult but Wolves are a fighting side. That being said, they have a Midlands derby and then face three sides who should be in and around them next term.

7. Brighton: Leeds at home, Wolves away, West Ham at home, Man City at home, Arsenal away

Ouch, just look at those final two matches of the season. Enough said.

Graham Potter

6. West Brom: Wolves at home, Arsenal away, Liverpool at home, West Ham at home, Leeds away.

The fixture list has not been kind to the Baggies at all here. They face three incredibly difficult matches and then face a Leeds side at Elland Road who have only just been promoted with them.

Very difficult fixtures

5. Chelsea: Fulham at home, Man City away, Arsenal at home, Leicester at home, Villa away.

Frank Lampard better hope he has his objectives wrapped up before these final five games because they are not easy. A London derby is followed by three matches against teams vying for European football. They'll then face a Villa side who might be fighting the drop on the final day.

4. Leicester: Soton away, Newcastle at home, Man Utd away, Chelsea away, Spurs at home

Those final three games are an absolute nightmare for the Foxes. Good luck!

Brendan Rodgers

3. Aston Villa: Everton away, Man Utd at home, Palace away, Spurs away, Chelsea at home

Yep, this is absolutely horrible. If Villa are trying to survive at this point it'll be a surprise if they take even three points.

2. Crystal Palace: Man City at home, Sheff Utd away, Villa at home, Arsenal at home, Liverpool away

Three of the best sides in the division and Bramall Lane - not easy by any means.

1. Newcastle: Arsenal at home, Leicester away, Man City at home, Sheff Utd at home, Fulham away.

This is truly horrific for the Magpies. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if they lost every single one of these matches. That depends, of course, on whether Fulham have done better than they did last time they were in the Premier League.

Steve Bruce at Newcastle

So there we have it. Of course, this could all change by the time next April comes along so feel free to come back and laugh hysterically at how wrong we got things. Then again, if we're right, just call us Mystic Meg.
