Blackpool captain Charlie Adam is fit for Saturday's crucial Barclays Premier League clash against Newcastle.
The Seasiders talisman injured his foot in the early stages of last week's damaging 3-1 loss to Wigan, which left the club in the Barclays Premier League relegation zone. Although X-rays earlier this week cleared the 25-year-old Scotland midfielder of any break, he was still rated doubtful for the Magpies' visit to Bloomfield Road.
He has since made a full return to training and manager Ian Holloway said: "Charlie is fine, it's good news for everyone. He has not bust his foot, it was just bruising and he has trained for the last two days."
Holloway is also hoping Adam's fellow midfielder David Vaughan will be able to feature at the weekend. The influential Wales international has missed the last two games with a hip injury.
Holloway said: "Vaughany has got a slight problem but it won't be made any worse by us playing him, providing he does a certain regime of exercises. He joined in training and didn't look any different from what he normally does, so that is a boost for everyone."
Blackpool have just five games remaining and must arrest a dreadful run of form to extend their stay in the top flight. The Tangerines have slipped into the bottom three after winning just one of their last 13 games.
But they continue to play fearless attacking football and Holloway is convinced the situation will change if his players cut out mistakes and their luck changes.
Looking back at the Wigan loss, he said: "I wouldn't expect my players to do those things but unfortunately they did.
"We gave them the first two goals and they got a deflected third. It either goes for you or it doesn't, but I think those things can change round at any time in the season. The last thing you need to get is frustrated. I wasn't frustrated, I was just disappointed for the lads.
"They have deserved a lot better and if they keep going and keep believing in themselves it will turn."
