Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer.

After a productive campaign in which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side finished third in the Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, attention can now turn to next term.

One thing we know for certain is that United mean business.

After qualifying for the Champions League, the focus will be pushing towards the final stages of that competition, while also mounting a genuine Premier League title challenge.

Liverpool and Manchester City have ruled the roost of late, but it seems that now's the time for Solskjaer's side to finally reinstate themselves among the best.

But if they're to do that then they'll need to strengthen.

Several names including Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Douglas Costa have been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

But it seems like a fresh, but familiar face could now be on the radar.

Reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport, via the Daily Mail have claimed that Man United are interested in Aaron Ramsey.

It's claimed that Juventus are planning a huge overhaul of their first team squad with the former Arsenal man one of the casualties.

Despite only joining one year ago, Ramsey has failed to hit the ground running in Turin, leading to speculation that the Italian giants could be tempted to cash in.

But while the midfielder could be available for as little as £22.5million, it's his substantial wage packet that could prove troublesome.

While United may be seen as favourites to sign Ramsey, they're not the only side who are said to be interested.

It's claimed that West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also keen.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This would be quite something.

Aaron Ramsey is regarded as a real fans' favourite with Arsenal - the club that he spent many years serving before his move to Italy.

But while his time at Juventus hasn't really been as successful as he'd hoped, it's tricky to imagine him playing for any other club in the Premier League.

Of course this depends on Juventus' plans for him.

You'd imagine that they may be keen to keep hold of the Wales international as they look to get the best out of him.

But if not, then it could play into Man United's hands.

United are one of the sides in England who could realistically afford Ramsey's wages, and so that is a real advantage.

However the whole thing depends on the plans of The Old Lady and how they play out over the coming weeks.
