Manchester United match winner Dimitar Berbatov looks set to move to Seville after the Bulgarian was not included in the squad in this week’s Newcastle trip, according to The Sun.
Seville are reportedly hoping to land the star at a cut price bargain, after Manchester United paid £30 million for the strikerwhen they purchased him from Tottenham in 2008.
The Sun is reporting that Seville are hoping to snag the star for as little as £12 million, as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to offload Berbatov after youngster Javier Hernandez outshone the 30 year old this season.
Speculation is growing that Seville are wanting to sell Argentine midfielder Diego Perotti, and believe that Manchester United will consider a swap for the playmaker.
Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle have all shown interest in Perotti, and should Manchester United snag the 22 year old, Sir Alex Ferguson will have move closer to his aim to developing more youth at Old Trafford and leaving a legacy for when he retires.
While Berbatov is the leading goal scorer in the Barclays Premier League with 21 goals, the striker has had trouble starting for Manchester United after the edition of Javier Hernandez.
Berbatov wasn’t included in the squad against Newcastle on Tuesday, despite travelling with the team to St James’ Park, and is said to be becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his second rate position at Manchester United.
