Adam Dugdale looks set to be recalled when Crewe host Morecambe.

The Alex Academy product last started a game in mid-March, but with David Artell (hamstring) sidelined against his former club, Dugdale is expected to get the nod ahead of Patrick Ada.

"Dave`s injury gives one of the others a chance and that will probably be Adam," said Crewe boss Dario Gradi. "We think he is someone who can come in for Artell. He hasn`t really had a terrific chance to show what he can do but he`s got a terrific attitude.

"He`s dead keen to do well and arguably our most dangerous threat from set-pieces too."

Mat Mitchel-King, Byron Moore, Nick Powell and Antoni Sarcevic are also available for recalls.

Luke Murphy has missed the last three matches and the midfielder will not play again this season as he could require a hernia operation.

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will again be without Paul Scott and Kieran Charnock.

Scott is a long-term absentee with a knee injury and Charnock is nursing an Achilles problem as the Shrimps seek to end a disappointing campaign on a high note.

Last weekend`s 1-1 draw at high-flying Gillingham saw McIlroy`s side go three games without defeat, finally ending their fears of relegation.

And McIlroy said: "The last couple of weeks have seen the lads put in some fantastic, fighting performances.

"We have been short of numbers with the side basically picking itself, but the effort has been tremendous and we have been rewarded by getting to the 50-point mark which should mean we are safe now."
