Bayern Munich are European champions for the sixth time in their history. After all the excitable build-up to their Champions League final clash with Paris Saint-Germain, the 2019/20 climax proved a little underwhelming with the Bavarians edging a 1-0 victory.Kingsley Coman, who broke into the professional game with PSG, scored the only goal on the night after heading home from a brilliant cross into the area from Joshua Kimmich.

Bayern Munich 1-0 PSG

However, although PSG were the second best team on the night by everybody's estimations, they weren't without their scoring opportunities during their first Champions League final.

But if they are to reassure themselves about having come up short, they can at least find solace in the fact it took an absolute masterclass from Manuel Neuer to maintain Bayern's clean sheet.

Injuries and a lack of form had seen Neuer fall from his perch as the world's best goalkeeper just a few years ago, but there's no denying that the German is back at the top of his game.

Neuer surely MOTM vs PSG

He was, by most viewers' account, the Man of the Match on the night, which is befitting of the Bayern captain on such a historic occasion.

According to SofaScore, Neuer made 50 touches, three saves inside the area, completed 30 accurate passes, executed eight long balls and amassed a match rating of 7.5.

And in order to celebrate Neuer's incredible run of form in the Champions League, it only makes sense to look back on his highlights during the tense win over PSG.

Neuer's best moments vs PSG

So, sit back, enjoy and prepare to bask in some world-class goalkeeping as we reminisce on his four most impressive moments from the final - check them out down below:

Double save from Neymar

The first big chance of the game and Neuer was equal to it twice over, first denying the one-on-one when most goalkeepers would have been nutmegged and then blocking the rebound.

Claims Mbappe's big chance

Ok, sure, this is an incredibly simple hold, but we didn't have it within us not to include every one of his Neuer's saves on the night and it arguably came from PSG's biggest chance.

Thwarts Marquinhos

Again, one of the simpler blocks, but Neuer once again closed down his opponent brilliantly to ensure Marquinhos didn't score for the third Champions League game running.

Insane offside save from Mbappe

While this won't go down as one of Neuer's saves because Mbappe was offside, it was still a fantastic block with his trailing leg that summed up how much a brick-wall he was.

As far as we're concerned, Neuer has to be considered the world's best goalkeeper again.

Captaining the first Champions League winners to claim victory in every single game, which also dropping a MOTM display in the final makes him befitting of that title without a shadow of a doubt.
