They claim that the Tottenham hierarchy has begun work to try and sign the impressive Nigeria international.
The Foxes don't intend to part company with Ndidi but Spurs have still asked for information regarding his availability.
The source says that the Leicester star is an 'expensive case', something that's backed up by his Transfermarkt value of £40.5m.

To put things simply, Ndidi is a defensive colossus, he is the heartbeat of Leicester's midfield and would slot into any side in the Premier League seamlessly.
Last season, he made four tackles per match, a tally that put him second in the entire division for that particular stat. The only player ahead of him? That was also a Leicester man, Ricardo Pereira.
He is a beast when it comes to defending his box, making 2.5 interceptions per game while completing 85.1% of his passes.
There are few players more protective than Ndidi in the top-flight. He is calm in possession and wins the ball back at a staggering rate.
For a Spurs side that conceded on a regular basis under Jose Mourinho, this would be a player capable of pulling them through the tougher stages of matches.
The manager is also a known fan of the player. Back in 2016, he tried to convince the midfielder to sign for Manchester United but his efforts didn't pay off. Perhaps he might have better luck this time around.
