This has been quite the few weeks for Leeds United.

They have put years of hurt behind them after winning the Championship by an incredible ten points and now find themselves back in the big time for the first time since 2004.

Bielsa is the man to thank. He has changed this football club for the better and few would bet against them doing something special next season.

That's providing they strengthen adequately anyway.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but Leeds haven't exactly set the world alight in the market so far.

From being mentioned in the same breath as Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the start of the window, we've mainly seen the academy strengthened.

Young players like Cody Drameh and Joe Gelhardt have been signed but another one could be on their way if you believe reports in South America.

According to Ole (via Sport Witness), Leeds are interested in signing young Argentine Pedro De la Vega.

The 19-year-old currently plays for Lanus in Argentina's top tier and has made quite the impact despite his young age.

Manchester City have previously been interested in acquiring the teenager's services but it's now thought that Leeds and clubs from Italy are in the chase.

Atalanta are eyeing a move in a deal the Italian media has previously claimed would cost $10m (£7.6m).

That being said, the report states Leeds would only need to pay $5m (£3.8m) for De la Vega. That's ridiculously cheap in today's market.

De La Vega

Another young player? It seems like Leeds have no ambition of actually improving their first-team squad at the moment.

That being said, De la Vega is a special talent so we can excuse them this time.

The winger was called up to the Argentina senior squad at just 17 and despite failing to make his debut, has been a revelation in recent years.

He has scored five senior goals already and there have already been suggestions that he's one of the candidates to replace Lionel Messi in the future.

That might be a step too far for the 19-year-old but there have certainly been some more reasonable expectations.

Angel di Maria Champions League final

In an article written by Goal, they revealed comparisons to another Argentine great. "His footwork and ability to both play a killer pass and provide the finishing touches to moves have led to him being compared to Angel Di Maria in some quarters, albeit a right-footed version of the Paris Saint-Germain star with slightly more skill than agility."

Exciting words indeed. If he can replicate anything close to what Di Maria has achieved then he'll be a star of the future.

Where he fits in at Leeds, however, is difficult to work out. Ian Poveda will tell you just how difficult it is to break into Bielsa's side.
