A behind-the-scenes video that premiered yesterday has shown the uppercut Alexander Povetkin delivered to defeat Dillian Whyte at Fight Camp 4.

Yesterday, Matchroom Boxing premiered a behind-the-scenes programme on YouTube, focusing on the fight between heavyweights Whyte and Povetkin.

The 30-minute video follows the days leading up to fight night, with most of the fighters on the card being featured.

The main focus, however, is on Whyte & Povetkin’s main event clash.

Promoter Eddie Hearn also features throughout the programme, discussing the bout and what lies ahead.

Seen during the fight is also former cruiserweight boxer Tony Bellew, looking on from behind the camera, shouting out encouragement to his friend Whyte, urging him on along the way.

After Whyte knocks down his opponent for the first time in the fourth round, Bellew advises: “Dillian, take your time. Hit the body first."

In the same round, Whyte manages to knock down his opponent again with 20 seconds left, but sadly for the Brit's fans, just one round later the whole atmosphere changed.

Speaking between rounds, Hearn comments: “Unbelievable. What a round. I actually probably had Povetkin just slightly up in the fight. Dillian was just being patient, waiting and waiting.

“I fancy Dillian knocking him out in the next couple of rounds,” claimed Hearn.

Oh boy how wrong he was.

Against the odds, the Russian then powered into the fifth round of the fight before delivering the devastating uppercut to the chin of Whyte.

Povetkin’s uppercut is deafening in the ringside footage, whilst simultaneously silencing the arena. Meanwhile, the Russian’s corner immediately scream in celebration.

The video ends with reaction from all areas, with Bellew describing the defeat for Whyte as “heart-breaking."

There are talks of the two heavyweights fighting in a rematch later this year, with Whyte’s corner reported to be eager to enforce an immediate rematch.
