Bayern Munich are the best football team in the world right now. It's remarkable to see the journey that Bayern have been on since their 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in November, forcing the club to bring the axe down on manager Niko Kovac.Hansi Flick was originally appointed as the successor in the dugout on a temporary basis, but the fact he's still barking out orders in Bavaria tells you everything about well he's performed.

Bayern's 2019/20 glory

In fact, Bayern have gone from having their dominance in the Bundesliga questioned to having their dominance over the entirety of European football widely acknowledged.

Flick ensured that Bayern maintained their stranglehold on the German game by winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double, before going one better with Champions League glory.

The German champions edged out Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final, but it was their astonishing 8-2 victory over Barcelona that will be best remembered in the years and decades to come.

Quality all over the pitch

There were moments along Bayern's journey to becoming kings of Europe that solidified their status as one of the greatest attacking teams of the modern era.

Robert Lewandowski's form this season has been Ballon d'Or worthy, notching up more than 50 goals, while Serge Gnabry has been a revelation out wide with 23 strikes in all competitions.

Thomas Muller casually helped himself to over 20 assists in the Bundesliga, Thiago Alcantara was absolutely mesmeric in defence and Manuel Neuer is the world's best goalkeeper again.

Bayern body transformations

We could go on about Bayern's quality all day, honestly, but we wanted to draw your attention to a particular facet of the club's strength this season and, well, it's quite literally... their strength.

That's because ESPN uploaded a remarkable image to Twitter on Thursday night that revealed the stunning body transformations that some of Bayern's players have undertaken recently.

Their collage shows Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka, Philippe Coutinho and Lewandowski going from fit, though lean, frames to the incredibly muscly builds that you see today.

Check out the incredible snaps down below:

What are they feeding them at the Allianz Arena?

Perhaps the sports scientists are on to something in Bavaria that the rest of Europe simply hasn't caught on to because the Bayern players are looking absolutely jacked right now.

Sometimes body transformation images can be made to look a little more extreme than they actually are by the photographs, but there can be no denying the clear trend going on here.

That being said, only the players themselves will know how much of a difference bulking up has made to their game, though you'd be forgiven for thinking that defenders would just bounce off.

Regardless of what they're going in Bavaria, though, it seems to be working for them and their margins of victory are just as huge as their guns.
