Leeds United are back in the Premier League and are already make colossal statements.

Marcelo Bielsa isn't here to mess about, luring some high-class signings to Elland Road already.

With Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani by his side, they are building an eye-catching side.

They've broken their transfer record to bring Spain international Rodrigo to the club.

Following that, they've also signed ball-playing defender Robin Koch. The German is capped by his country and also has plenty of experience in the Bundesliga.

These are two players who have the potential to improve Leeds exponentially. No longer are they working exclusively in the loan market.

The Whites will be injected with £200m courtesy of promotion and they are making use of it expertly. To put it simply, Orta has been a particularly busy boy.

Leeds won't stop there, however.

The Athletic's Phil Hay took to Twitter to speak briefly about their plans for the rest of the window after confirming Koch's arrival.

He stated that it wouldn't be a surprise if the Yorkshire side went a little quiet in the window now. Although, he did reference one name who Leeds were still pursuing.

He said

"Would expect Leeds to keep their powder dry for a little while now. But still want someone who fits the winger/number 10 mould (no second bid for Kent so far). And I wonder if Bielsa will soften on an extra centre-back. Man Utd’s Axel Tuanzebe a name that’s been mentioned."

Tuanzebe was linked with Leeds earlier in the window, but it appears as though a move could materialise in the coming weeks.

Transfermarkt value the central defender at a price of £7.2m.

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Koch may have walked through the door but we're still seeing numerous central defenders touted with a move to Elland Road.

Last week it was the likes of Calum Chambers and Rob Holding at the centre of things, but now it's a different Premier League defender.

Tuanzebe only featured ten times for the Red Devils last term but he was exceptional for Aston Villa during the 2018/19 campaign.

He created a formidable partnership alongside Tyrone Mings as the Villans achieved promotion to the Premier League.

Tuanzebe

Capable of playing at right-back, as well as in the centre, he won a mightily impressive 3.2 aerial duels per game. To compare that to everyone else in the Leeds side, only Liam Cooper (4.7) won more last term.

Importantly, though, is his ball-playing abilities. Orta has been keen to replace White with someone in a similar mould and in Koch they achieved that. His pass success rate last term was 83.7%.

Tuanzebe's, on the other hand, was even better. He completed 88.2% of his passes in the Premier League throughout 2019/20. This would be the ideal defender for Bielsa's possession-based style of play.
