Leeds United are establishing themselves as one of the most exciting teams to follow in the Premier League. That's before a ball has even been kicked. The Whites ran riot in the Championship last term after securing the league title with a 10-point buffer on their nearest rival. It certainly seems like they're hoping to take that momentum into life in the fast lane. It's been 16 years since Leeds graced the Premier League, but anybody with concerns that the club would be complacent as they prepared for their long-awaited return can rest easy. The Whites have already completed numerous deals this summer, with the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Cody Drameh ensuring that the future looks bright for Leeds.Add into that the first team additions of Rodrigo and Robin Koch, and you can see that the club are very much heading in the right direction. But if you think that Leeds are finishing there then you have another thing coming.p1eh2h5b0a1fpj14af18t51rjubeq9.jpgReports from The Telegraph have claimed that Leeds are interesting signing Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese. That was before reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that the player was valued between €30m to €35m.But with little in the way of confirmation over this interest, one of Leeds United's most reputable reporters, Graham Smyth added to the story. The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter confirmed on Twitter that De Paul is in fact a target for the Whites - and has been since the start of the summer.

Smyth tweeted: "Has been on 'the list' since the start I'm told, so the interest is very real."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

What a deal this would be.

Leeds United are keen to add some creativity to their midfield and Rodrigo de Paul would certainly bring that.

Described by ESPN as 'a confident dribbler', the 26-year-old would certainly add real quality to Marcelo Bielsa's side.

A player who can player as a winger or a number 10, De Paul could be an ideal addition for the Whites.

While his price tag looks like it could be steep, there's no doubting his quality after scoring seven and creating six for Udinese last term.
